Venue Hire

A room with a view

Boasting a large internal area, which opens directly onto an extensive outside deck with breath taking views of the ocean, Taree Old Bar Surf Life Saving Club is the perfect venue for your event.

Not only will you be holding your event with the best view in town, but all monies raised from our venue hire, go directly to our club to continue to provide lifesaving services to the local community.

Venue hire includes:

Indoor function room (185sqm) with optional subdued lighting.
External veranda and Deck (230sqm)
Tables and chairs for 160 guests
Small raised stage area.
P.A. System
Large screen, smart TV
Male, female and disabled WCs
Ramp access to function room

Alcoholic beverages can only be supplied by the Taree Old Bar Surf Life Saving Club; there is strictly “NO BYO” (Bring Your Own). You have the option of using our bar services under our Liquor Licence, staffed by our members.
Note: Use of our bar licence prevents any guest suppling their own alcoholic products.
Caterers will have use of a well-equipped kitchen including gas stoves, commercial dishwasher, refrigerator, upright freezer, cutlery, bowls and plates.
You will need to supply your own catering - speak to our team if you would like local recommendations.

The Club has generous onsite parking for your attendees.
The maximum number of attendees we can have in the Club for your event will vary depending on your setup, event type, etc. As a guide, we can seat up to 160 guests (for more formal or catered events) or 200 standing (for cocktail-style or more casual events).
When booking your event, you will need to provide an estimated number of attendees, with final numbers needing to be submitted 14 days prior to your event.
If you want to have a ticketed event, or one where the numbers are difficult to estimate from the time of booking, contact our Functions Manager (Vice President)
As a volunteer run organisation we do not provide staff for events, this must be organised and paid for at the hirer’s expense.
