Nippers

2025-26 Nipper Registrations are now Closed as of 12 October 2025.

Nippers at Taree Old Bar SLSC

Nippers is a junior surf‑life‑saving program for children aged 5‑13. It teaches beach‑safety skills (swimming, board paddling, beach sprinting, dolphin‑diving, rip‑spotting, etc.) while providing fun, confidence‑building experiences. The beach serves as the classroom, and the skills learned stay with participants for life.

Members can join us weekly
Sundays 9:30am - 11:00am

The program runs on Sundays mornings and is a great way for families to enjoy our beautiful beaches together AND meet new friends.

  • Parents are encouraged to get involved in supporting roles.

  • A parent or guardian must supervise each child for the entire session

  • Age Managers must be able to identify a child’s parent at all times.

    • Children may join as soon as they turn 5 years old.

    • If a child turns 5 after 30 September, they join the U6 group for that season and will remain in U6 the following year.

    • The age group is determined by the child’s age on 30 September of the year they are joining.

  • Yes. A parent or guardian must supervise the child for the entire session. Age Managers must be able to quickly identify each child’s parent in case assistance is needed.

  • Registrations for the 2025‑2026 season closed on 12 October 2025. The next opening will be announced for the 2026‑2027 season soon.
